Doesn’t matter. According to this douche

We can't comment on a Mercedes without having decades of experience and going into a full history of the S class

Well I was wrong on the Maybach/S65, I thought the Maybach was synonymus with the most expensive Mercedes you can get.

Go ahead and check prices, the Maybach is the one that gets everyone. Your list is extremely logical, however Mercedes nomenclature is not logical!

What were the prices? I put them in a similar order as you except I out the 600 at number 5.

The V12 (600) models are what threw you off.

Hybrids are so inconsistent in price! All I can ever remember is that the S65 is always the most expensive.

I pulled these from MB USA’s website. I had the last two placed in the wrong order.
S550e $95,650
S63 AMG $143250
S63 AMG Coupe $163,150
S600 $169,050
S63 AMG Cabriolet $176,400
S65 AMG $224,350
Maybach S600 $191,975

ha, I thought Maybach was synonymous with their best of the best. I was wrong. Whoooops. That’s incredible.

If it helps, the 550e does use a V6 plus an electric motor. You have to remember hybrids are always a few cylinders short of what the alphanumeric means because the motor replaces those cylinders. Just for fun though, check out the price for a Lexus LS600h

Using logic and critical thinking were where you went wrong. You gotta confuse the consumer to keep them shopping your full lineup!

Holy crap balls!
It looks like the Maybach offers a great value. If I could only pick one though I'd get the S65

The S65 is like a “fuck you” to basically all the other S sedans. It’s more expensive than the rest but is slower than the S63 somehow. probably the extra 4 cylinders under the hood.

Tell me how since you didn’t experience the first Benz you’re qualified to talk about the new one. It may have only had one HP, but damn that torque curve was flat. This is why I don’t ever visit the front page/

Apparently pretty easily. Fortunately these people are so petty they only treat people like crap online because they know they have real consequences out in the real world.

Haha. Yeah, it features such advanced things like wheels and an engine. Cars today are just now catching up.
But in all seriousness, what car first impressions/reviews go into the history of a completely different class of car for comparisons. That jack weasel was just looking for a way to put her down. Even when comparing to the outgoing model for the same car they rarely go beyond “x more horsepower/torque” “now with touchscreen” and that's about it.

I think the reason the S65 is slower is a traction issue - RWD v AWD on the S63. The Maybach price is so confusing - although that V12 actually has fewer HP than the S63 or S65, oddly. The other thing that threw me was the price of the S550e - if you asked me to guess that, I would have said $130k, not $96k.

Mercedes prices the S Class based off power, which is why I think the 65 is more expensive than the Maybach, despite it brings a “Maybach.”
I think the 65 is faster mainly because of the AWD in the 63. I’m pretty sure the last gen 63 was faster still too, despite also bring RWD, but the last gen 65 only had a 5 speed (the same one as my W202), while the 63 had a 7 speed.
A Mercedes S65 AMG requires no explanations though, it does require anyone's approval.
